EasyMatch locates templates previously shown to the system and arbitrarily positioned in an image. Pattern matching is a convenient and straightforward way to accurately find the location of one or several instances of a known object.

• Sub-pixel-accuracy
• multiple pattern occurence: several instances of a pattern can be found. User controlled maximum amount of instances as well as score threshold
• ration and scaling: rotation angle (up to 360°) and scaling factor (+/- 50%) can be set
• don't care areas :
  in case of a non-rectangluar pattern the don't care areas can be defined to exclude areas for matching
• matching of color patterns in color images
• Standard, semi-normalised and normalised correlation:
  • semi-normalised correlation compensates intensity changes
  • normalised correlation compensates intensity and contrast changes
