High-resolution compact C-mount camera
The number of areas in which machine vision is being used is growing by the day. At the same time, the trend towards high resolution remains unabated. SVS-Vistek is going new ways with the new EXO183 and presenting the EXO183GE, a camera with a resolution of 20 MP and a C-mount.
Developed in response to customer demand
The EXO183 is the SVS-Vistek’s first rolling machine vision camera. It has been developed specifically in response to customer requests and, with a resolution of 5496 x 3672 pixels, is entering the realm of high-resolution cameras. With a pixel size of 2.4 µm and a sensor diagonal of 15.9 mm, the camera calls for a very good lens. We will be happy to advise you on the right choice of lens for your specific application.
Not suitable for everything but perfect for some areas
The Sony IMX183 sensor used offers advantages: thanks to the rolling shutter, the sensor boasts far greater light sensitivity than global shutter sensors. However, this means that is not suitable for all applications. Exposure and lighting requirements for rolling shutter camera differ markedly from those for global shutter cameras. Special precautions must be taken with flashes in particular. However, our application specialists will be pleased to advise you. Many applications benefit from the high resolution and high light sensitivity. With an excellent 71 dB dynamic range and high light sensitivity, the EXO183 generates outstanding images with an extremely high resolution at an unbeatable price for this resolution.
