SurfShaper is a quality assurance application for generating photometric curvature and texture images. The Vision Online demo application can be viewed at SVS-Vistek’s stand at Control 2017.
Using SurfShaper for quality assurance
SurfShaper can capture objects of a diameter of up to 310 mm and applies a measuring process largely independent of the surface quality. It also supplies surface topologies of shining surfaces or surfaces that are difficult to illuminate in different colors. In this way, defects such as scratches, bubbles or dents can be reliably detected during the quality assurance phase.
Diverse uses
The demonstration also shows the creation of 3D profiles with a measuring precision of around 0.01 mm. A further feature included in the demo is telecentric backlight imaging.
